Business Objectives
The following statements will detail the results the YMCA needs to achieve in the medium term. They will reflect the underlying reasons for running the organisation. Further, aside from financial objectives (the necessity to achieve regular surpluses), the objectives will relate to the expectations and requirements of all the major stakeholders.
Social Housing
- To develop and provide a multi-layered approach to housing thus providing genuine opportunities to access permanent independent accommodation with sustainable tenancies
- To reduce vulnerability in young adults through the provision of stable housing opportunities and through effectively assessing risk
- To form strategic alliances with significant stakeholders in the community
Move-On Accommodation
- To reduce the number of young adults in hostels through establishing innovative partnerships with council housing associations and private landlords. These partnerships will make available properties and services appropriate to the aspirations of the people participating in our programmes

Personal Development
- To empower predominantly young, disadvantaged adults to realise their potential through the delivery of one-to-one programmes of excellence relevant to the personal development of a person's life skills
- To form strategic alliances with significant stakeholders in the community
Careers Advice & Guidance
- To deliver relevant and accredited advice and guidance within and beyond the scope of existing regional provision
- To form strategic alliances with significant stakeholders in the community
Youth Relevance
- To empower young, disadvantaged adults to realise their potential through the development and subsequent delivery of specific programmes of excellence relevant to youth in the community
- To form strategic alliances with significant stakeholders in the community
